Demi, please keep in mind that you won't ever get the exat value of something back when you recycle it.

This isn't working and it isn't the goal of recycling.

If you recycle a bottle (material: plastic) you receive another plastic that is not that "thick" and a bit dirtier. Its value drops. But you have a "new" bottle for your use.

It's the same in here.
The low level weapons hardly sell at some point. I didn't pay attention to the trolls, but there are lists. If the troll isn't satisfying, you go and recycle.
Or if you just want to get rid of the item.

Don't shredd the weapons for Rale and ToS. On german server it isn't worth it (they did test it, I can get you translations if you ask), because you can get more on market or via contract + agreement.
As for the other purpose of the recycler: On german server there was an deflation or inflation (I mix it up all the time, sorry. The prices sank below the total production cost). The recycler sets a certain price for the items that you can't sell at the troll.
