Err,
I cannot build or expand ANY Building.
I am halfway through story quest 4, with a level 1 Distillery, Farm, Quarry and Well. My character is Lvl 5. There is no option to expand in the production menu, though I can access the above buildings and set the Imps to work making stuff.
What's going wrong?

You should post that to Tech Support part of the forum.It has a highier chance to be resolved faster if you message privatly Uiqua here on forum as well.Did you ever upgrade a building,since you're a new player there is still chance that you maybe do something wrong like you're in the wrong tab or maybe lack the resources.

If I no wrong, with new rules you must be level 6 or 7 to have an access to expand the buildings.

You need to be level 7.

I already stated this fact in tech support where he/she posted the problem as well.
