I turned 22 on the German server and got 350k gold and 2 Cut Gems, so you should get more than 1 stone.

My German Server Chatracter just hit level 15 and got 150K gold and one precious stone.

Only the result window for me ... and a system message congratulating me for doing that and telling how good I am.

Uh, i forgot, but if st0rm is right (and he probably is, the man is a walking encyclopedia) you would never know what you got, or that you even got something if you have the pop-up disabled. Maybe the mail message could be updated?

I do not know the answer to that since I really like the pop-up window thing. It saves me a lot of time sifting through system messages and especially for battle reports in the arena.
