Upgrading army units.

Ok, so my question for the veterans today.
Has anyone upgraded their units from basic units to advanced to advanced 3.
For example protector to protector 2 and upgraded again to protector 3.
I am really looking for any charts that show the attack, defense and hit points for all the unit types per level.

For example your basic protector has the following stats.

Attack 6
Defense 12
Hit Points 10

When a protector goes through advanced training their stats change.
Attack 9
Defense 18
Hit Points 15

Then I am guessing they can be upgraded again?

Anyways, it gets really, really expensive to recruit the high level army types and if the low level units have similar stats when upgraded it might be better to just upgrade them.

In my opinion, at this moment, it's not worth to subject your units to advanced training. Let's take a simple example:

Dark Elf


Basic Stats: ATK: 55, DEF: 25, HP:30
Research costs:
5000 Gold
78 Hours to research
Training costs:
5000 Gold
78 Hours to train
Total (just for training one unit):
10000 Gold
156 Hours
Training level 1: ATK: 55(+27), DEF: 25(+12), HP:30(+15)
Training costs:
50.000 Gold, 1 Healing elixir, 100 Stew, 18 Steel
102 Hours 7 Minutes
Overall costs (researching a unit, training a unit and upgrading it to level 2):
61627 Gold
258 Hours 7 Minutes

With this much gold spent and so much time waiting around, it is far better to research and train a Necromancer:


Basic Stats: ATK: 80, DEF: 60, HP:40
Research costs:
34000 Gold
123 Hours 16 Minutes to research
Training costs:
34000 Gold
123 Hours 16 Minutes to train
Total (just for training one unit):
68000 Gold
246 Hours 32 Minutes

I would invest my gold and my resources to either research / train a new unit or build / upgrade new buildings for raw materials.

It is my opinion, that the amount of gold needed to "upgrade" a character versus the "just add the next highest character" is not worth it until you have 50 "Tears of the SUn" characters.


The same amount of gold will buy you a better base character.

I got rid of my Orcs, they are ugly.

I am pretty sure I will keep the girls, especially the Dark Elfs. The Dark Elf is my favorite.

I think Dianna plays for fun and esthetics, not points and brute strength. Which is of course fine, this game is pretty diverse
