Hello everyone,

BigPoint told us that the error is fixed now and that you can start to play again.

But please change your language flag in the top middle from the BigPoint portal to english.

Sorry again for that error - I hope everything works now as intended! For those BigPoint players which couldn't get into the game we plan some sort of compensation. I will tell you as soon as we cleaned up this mess!

Cheers,

Uiqua

Nope ... still can't login. Flag was in English. Clicked it again and still get the [lame] Opps Bigpoint error.

Can they just change it back to the old method and then install the new interface AFTER they test it?

Come on, Bigpoint...

I don't think they can do that because we don't have so much influence on them.

But I can promise that we keep the pressure on them up until it is definitely fixed!

As soon as I have news for you, I post it in here...

Greetings,

BTW Bigpoint has not replied with a human generated message. I received one automated reply on Thursday (I've had problems with bugpoint<sp> before - need to contact support as soon as problem appears). I have sent four updates (using the same ticket number supplied in their auto response) to let them know it is still a problem. FYI: It took them a month and a half to fix "404" no such url found type errors in Darkorbit (their really big game).

At what point is DoE no longer beholden to Bigpoint for people using their portal so we can login directly to DoE?

This is interesting... I created a test account through the Bigpoint portal and it works. Apparently just pre-existing accounts are not able to login through Bigpoint.

I think the "Oops" error page from Bigpoint is their way of displaying a very serious "418 I'm a teapot" error. :D
