Here are some information. It came up in my guild. Put it as quote because the content is all Uiqua's:

Uiqua said the minimum required for elemental earth to drop is 1h.

In addition: The longer the production the higher the chance for a drop, BUT this doesn't mean there will be a drop (therefore being lucky or unlucky).
