I notice in my inventory that I have 2 items that have a small square with an X in it, no description of item what so ever can anyone help with this, or is it because my level is not great enough. Thanks

Nope, it is a bug. It got sorted out at some point but it seems it is back after the last update.

My friend who recently joined the DoE has 2x Ingrimm's Hoods in her inventory that are not shown. Instead, a small X appears.

Please click on the small magnifying glass icon under the item. It'll take to the marketplace where you can see what that item is supposed to be (provided it is on sale on the market place).

Still awaiting bug to be sorted out from 2016,

Sorry to say it but this has never been completely sorted out. This occurs each time during a ticket event as the loot from a dungeon run will award these "broken" items. Although we have work arounds for fixing the problem, the root of the problem has not been completely fixed.

As for the work around, there are a couple but the non-market (cheapest ) way is to be sure to have a valid item in inventory and have a contract created to send the broken ones to whomever has a valid item. This contract can be to yourself or another player either works as long as they have a valid item in inventory. Once you receive the contract the items are fixed.
