HMMMM - just in case....

So, in various conversations, there seems to be a few of us who come to DoE through other game provider portals. I come in through MoonID.net - some come in through some "big" portal...
The problem is, I can _only_ come in through MoonId. I can not log directly from the Bitserver DoE web login page.

The question becomes, "so, what if my game provider goes out of business or drops DoE? How would I be able to log in and continue playing?

ANyone else have this dilemma?

Same here, I don't think they'll go out of business. I'm more afraid of them dropping DoE.

I can only speak for my own experience, I come in through Big Point. I was playing some other games that Big Point dropped and I no longer can play those games. Even if you do manage to find the "Home" page for the other games all your progress is lost. I guess I could always learn German and try coming in through the German server of Days of Evil.

In case of emergency. http://s1.daysofevil.com/registrierung.php, this is the Home Page for Days of Evil.
Keep in mind you will have to start from scratch, day 1 though if your portal drops the game or goes out of business.

They can't drop DoE even if they want - unless the developers do something really terminal, as allot of players and have purchased Moon Coins - real money spent - then the Moon operators would have to offer full refund of all monies and it would be a complete nightmare to implement.

Further more DoE has got legs - its a fairly new game and once it gets going (like KnightFight KF) should have years to run - especially if the developers keep up updates and exciting new content.

I think you will possibly loose interest much more likely than Moon or DoE dropping it.

OK DoE and others don't have massive animations and moving maps like "Lord of the rings" etc - however in my case where data speeds are slow - it is great, likewise when (they may already  ) make a mobile version for players who use mobile phones - due to low bandwidth required for this game it will also be great :P

Of course I could be speaking absolute rubbish I am sure I will be corrected if I am  however I wouldn't worry to much - keep in mind Moon ID took on KF 10 - and I have played this game since Server 2 UK - I personally think this game needs a huge revamp to get its legs back - if it got dropped then you may be justified in thinking On Day DoE may possibly get dropped - in the mean time...

KEEP PLAYING DoE ... Oh yeah tell everyone else how good it is also - the more the merrier :D

Having been through one "we quit" - RMS had licensed out KF to a group and you came in through their portal ( though technically a separate game).... A bunch of people lost out.... ( RMS did "recover" it and now it;s US3)...

SO, just in case MOON bails, just checking..

:)

Hello everybody,

because of legal reasons we can't offer portal players a normal login from our landingpage. We have to separate that.

But I'm with Henry - there is absolutely no reason why DoE should be dropped now and in the future.

And there is also a normal english login page :-)

Greetings,

Uiqua
