So, what is a good ratio of Imps to Level?

How many do you have?

Well my thoughts are do not have more imps than you can use. Along those lines I have 45 imps at level 9, 2 small wells, 2 small quarries, 2 small woodcutters and some other buildings. Using 5 imps in every building I still find I do not have enough imps to run 100% total production capacity all the time. My small raw materials take up 30 imps leaving only 15 imps to make food, fuel, weapons, armor, metals, mech components etc. I also need to use imps to make products just to sell on the marketplace. I try to buy 1 imp every day if gold allows.

My approach is to have as many imps as possible working on the production of raw materials. I have a few extra imps working to get goods for traveling merchant or intermediary goods used to produce the end items for army, mech, a.s.o.
Sometimes I even sell the goods on the Troll Market since you don't pay any fees and you get your gold instantly. However, you can not sell more than 100000 items at a time. If you want to sell more of the same stuff you have to repeat the process.

Thanks for sharing Storm, however the question Gynde asked was how many imps do you have at your level.
For me it is 45 imps at level 9. I think he is trying to find the average per level or something like that.
Now I am at the middle of level 11, thought it easier to edit this one then repost, and have 77 imps total.
Just started level 12, I have 91 imps total now.
Just started level 13, I have 127 imps total now.
Just started level 14, I have 206 imps total now, really need about 1000.
Hope that helps your research Gynde.

I have 620 imps at mid-level 15. :) As I said before, I focus on the production of raw materials. All my Huts, Quarries and Wells are at the maximum level.

I currently have 925 imps. Working on the achievement.
The imps are working constantly making things to sell at the troll market.
Profits are used to reinvest in raw materials or products & to train new army units which get VERY pricy.

I've noticed that the more products I produce the more overall points I receive.

Yes, you are right ... anything you do in the Production page (produce goods, build new buildings or expand the existing ones) has a corresponding value in points which helps you get to the next level.
