No general settings

Several kind people tried to help me find my general settings, but I seem to have misplaced them. My understanding is that they should be located under Fortress->Settings. If I'm picturing it right, the words/little button should be right where the circle is in this photo? Or am I looking the wrong place?

Yeah. Sorry, was fighting with Flickr and BBCode, so the photo took me a bit. General Settings just... isn't there. I can't blame the Winter Update for this because I've never seen that option. *ponders*

I usually use Mozilla Firefox, but I did also log out and try this in Internet Explorer 11 and had the same result. No General Settings. So that rules out the browser and most of its add-ons.

Oh go ahead, I blame the Winter Upgrade for everything.

I had to take something for a headache a few hours ago, and I am sure that is caused by the Winter Upgrade, too.

We are supposed to get some ice and snow tonight or tomorrow morning and I blame that on the Winter Upgrade.

Yup, there should be a "General settings" link in that circle. I can't think of a reason why there isn't. If i were you, i'd throw a fit, stop playing and give me all your stuff. Or you could message Uiqua, or maybe support (at the login page), that might be faster :p

I am thinking any missing buttons are caused by the Upgrade, as stealing buttons is a big part of the upgrade.

It definitely wasn't the Winter Update. It's always looked this way to me. *grins*

When I put in the URL Kagen suggested, I get the profile, your banner bar and it's still missing the general settings option. I attached a cropped screenshot of that, so hopefully you can see what I mean.

this occures because you play Days of Evil via the BigPoint portal. BigPoint players must delete their account on the BigPoint page.

OMG. Dealing with Bigpoint is like undergoing a root canal while jumping through flaming hoops as you juggle chainsaws. Just shoot me, Uiqua.

None of their delete buttons work. One of them directs you to a support form asking "Are you having problems with your account?", which when you fill it out earns you the response from support, "We don't delete accounts." They got a lovely response to that from me. So, uh, this character deletion thing isn't instantaneous.

And to clear things up, Azmeera is staying. This is to get rid of that second character I created to see the early levels when new players were having problems. Let's just say this is one lesson learned.
